On Saturday Matt and I helped our friend celebrate his 30th birthday at Plymouth Bar.  I had never been there, but heard it was a great after work bar with an amazing roof top bar...and that it did have.  Despite the cold temperatures, the roof was open (and open all year round) with heaters on full blast that made me forget that it wasn't summer anymore.

I was slightly anti-social for a portion of the party because I couldn't help but wish I brought my camera with me to capture my surroundings.  Luckily, I had my trusty camera phone to rely on complete with instagram to help enhance just how cool the view was.  Unlike other rooftops in the city where you get a great view of the lake or skyline, Plymouth's is perfect for architecture enthusiasts.  Most of the buildings that surround Plymouth have some fun history behind it and the detail on each is truly unique.  Even if I had my camera, a picture wouldn't do it justice - you really have to experience it yourself to truly appreciate the ambiance.

A tip if you're ever in the neighborhood and decide to check it out - go on a weekend.  You'll get a much more intimate experience and don't have to battle the 9 to 5ers who go there to un-wind after a long day of work.
