peek

I stumbled upon this fantastic kid store called Peek last Fall when I was in Scottsdale for a business trip and instantly fell in love with everything in the store.  Their style was on point with how I dress Liam and I loved that everything looked like adult clothes...just in mini sizes.  I snagged this cute tie dye hooded tee for Liam and it was my favorite shirt for him to wear, until he outgrew it.  Since I was already in love with the store, I was so excited to learn that there was one opening up in the city and even better, some of my gal pals were hosting the opening event.

When I first discovered the store, I honestly was surprised when I found out that they had locations in other big and small markets, but Chicago wasn't even on the list.  The first location opened in Northbrook Court last Winter, but seeing how I'm completely adverse to anything suburban I wasn't going to drive out there just for a store...but thankfully, the Chicago location opened in Bucktown last week!

Friends Johanna of 101 Things I Love and Kelly of Red Tricycle Chicago were co-hosting the events, so how could I say no to the great company, cute kids clothes and custom crafted cocktails?  Oh and not to mention kid foods served in mini sizes like homemade pop-tarts, hot dogs, fries and cookies.  This store fits in perfectly with the trends that come out of this neighborhood - everything from their mini cutoffs, flowy gauze shirts, high top converse to chambray boys shirts makes the best compliment for all the parents who shop at the high end retail that share the block.

While I wish I could go home with everything in the store for Liam, sadly I had to control myself and walked away with something comfortable, as well as something educational.  If you've never heard of this store, this is a MUST know and if you're going to splurge on something fashionable for your child definitely snag it from Peek!  Welcome to the neighborhood Peek, I'm so excited you've finally graced us with your presence!
