Not that I want to quickly breeze through the holidays, but I'm already a little sad knowing that eventually our holiday decorations have to come down. There is something so cozy about having the tree, stockings, lights and garland up around the house. It's hard to replicate that feeling, but then again we've never really spent the time to fully decorate our walls. With a new year coming up, this is all going to change and it all starts with Minted!

fash•ion (fash-uh n) | lounging
I'm not very good at being lazy. I'm one of those people that needs to be on the computer, while watching TV and checking my iPhone every other minute to see if anything good is coming up on my Twitter feed. Well, at least that was me a few months ago.
A few months ago the idea of laying around at home for hours watching HGTV would make me cringe, but sure enough I've turned into my worst nightmare...someone that does just that on their free time. Be lazy! However, just cause I'm lounging around the house doesn't mean I do it in sweats all day. I need to at least shower and wear something semi-decent to make me feel a tad productive. So even though my warm Target slippers seem to be my footwear of choice on days I'm un-motivated, I still like to put a tad of thought in my home outfits.

life (lahyf) | home
I'm a messy person. Just ask my husband who's constantly picking up after all my clutter and messes. That's why when it comes to home decor we keep it pretty minimal. Less amount of furniture and places for me to store things = less mess.
Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the idea of adding character to each room in our place and I even love pinning new ideas onto my Pinterest board. But, I'll be honest, the likelihood of me doing more than what's required is pretty slim to none. I've always thought it was funny that my home is actually a pretty bad representation of who I am just based on it's simplicity. I like to consider myself a creative individual with layers of personality, but my home says none of that...take a look for yourself.
Although I always toy around with the idea of painting walls, adding splashes of color and hanging fun wall art, I like how my home looks like a bachelor pad. It leaves minimal room for error in making decorating mistakes and really all I need are pictures of my loved ones hanging around to make it feel like home...which it does.
