super hero birthday party

Last weekend we celebrated Liam's 2nd birthday party and I'm not going to lie, I think some adults had just as much fun as the kids all thanks to the amazing crew at Whole Foods Lincoln Park.  If you're looking for new ways to celebrate your little ones birthday, be sure to read on.

Since we live in a condo and can't house 15 toddlers to run around, we looked to have our birthday "elsewhere"...somewhere I especially didn't have to cook or clean.  However, I didn't want to resort to the typical go to birthday party places in the city.  Thankfully, one cold day in May as I was shopping at Whole Foods, I saw a flyer that housed birthday options and instantaneously I was sold.

I can't even begin to tell you how easy and convenient it was to have our party at Whole Foods.  Aside from light decorating a few minutes before the party, everything was set up for us and the room was equipped to entertain toddlers.  A good portion of the room was papered for kids to draw on and Melissa & Doug toys were provided to keep them occupied...and let me tell you, they were definitely occupied.  For 2 hours straight there were kids playing with the toys, coloring, running around and just having a great time.  If that wasn't great already, Whole Foods also provided a staff member (shout out to mah girl Christy) who helped corral on the kids while the parents chatted away.

We had a super hero themed birthday party and since I was extremely adamant that each kid go home with a customized cape, I put my Martha skills to the test and hand crafted some toddler sized super hero gear.  I completed the ambiance with customized food labels, super hero tattoos and coloring sheets for the kids.

Overall we had the BEST time and I so appreciated the ease of having a party at Whole Foods Lincoln Park.  If you're in Chicago and looking for a birthday party location for your little one, I would definitely reach out to Sarah at Whole Foods Lincoln Park.  She has so many great birthday party options that include a toddler party (like ours) or cooking classes for kids as young as 4 years old.  I promise you going this route may just be one of the best decisions you'll make this year!
