u.s. apothecary

Welcome to the Southport neighborhood U.S. Apothecary.  If you've ever found yourself meandering more in the home goods section of Anthropology, then you'll want to listen here.  This little boutique shop recently opened on Southport Avenue and I've welcomed it with wide open arms (and wallet).

This amazing little store is the second location in the US, with the first based in St. Louis, and I'm so glad that they decided to make my street their new home.  When you walk into the store it's like a Pinterest design board come true.  In this store you'll find a perfect combination of select quality everyday wear, vintage inspired home decor, jewelry and succulents, but the main concentration of this store offers a wide variety of luxurious bath, body and home scents.  With light scents that range from rose water, lavender, milk, peony, orange water and much more - you'll spend your time progressing through smells that will tickle your nose buds.  But no worries, I guarantee you'll never have a  "Jen from Appleton, Wisconsin" type of experience here.  The staff is so sweet and knowledgeable - always offering to help out in any way.  I mean, you can tell that they genuinely LOVE where they work.

Since the store opened, I've found any and all excuses to go back - telling myself I'm in need of a hand wash and lotion set or travel candle (but really who travels with a candle?).  While I'm trying not to blow all my money on this place it's really hard because I love everything about this store.  It is so effortlessly chic and everything in the store seems to be a lifestyle necessity.  Needless to say, my friends and family should expect all of my holiday gifts to come from my new favorite store!
